Our goal and passion at Heart City Church is to cultivate an environment where children encounter God, develop a lifelong love for Jesus, and learn to live like Him every day.
First-time visitors
When you enter the church, the kids lobby will be on your right. A trained volunteer will be in the kids lobby from 9:30-10:15 every Sunday, ready to help new families get checked in. Our kids rooms open at 9:45 each Sunday so you can get them settled in and have time to grab a cup of coffee before service begins.
Kids are always welcome -In class or in service. We love having kids in our classrooms and believe they will thrive in age-appropriate environments designed just for them - full of fun, faith-building activities, and caring leaders. That said, we understand each family has different comfort levels. If you prefer to keep your children with you during service, that’s perfectly okay. Whether they are in our kids' classrooms or sitting with you in the sanctuary, your children are always welcome here.
Our commitment to safety
We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where kids can grow in faith with confidence and joy.
To ensure this, we use an electronic check-in system that provides each child and parent with tags that have a matching code. These tags are required for pick-up, ensuring only authorized individuals can pick up your child.
All of our volunteers must pass a background check before serving in our kids ministry and we always maintain at least 2 teachers in each classroom. There is also always an extra leader on-call in case additional support is needed in the classroom.
Infants
While we only have volunteer-led classrooms for toddlers and older, we offer multiple comfortable environments for our families with an infant.
Nursing Mom’s Room- Downstairs in the Kids’ Area- We have a cozy room just for moms with a comfortable couch and soft lighting to promote a moment of peace with your infant. If the door is closed, please knock before entering.
Infant Nursery- Downstairs in the Kids’ Area - Each Sunday our nursery is open for parents to be with their children. It provides a safe and fun environment where the little ones can make as much noise as they’d like, or take a nap with you in the rocker. A volunteer would be happy to help put the service up on the TV if you’d like to watch from the nursery.
Sanctuary - You are always invited to bring your child with you to service. You will see multiple families with babies in the service, this is normal & welcomed here!
